Engility has a position supporting the United States Army Special Operations Command mission to train the Afghan National Army. We look forward to talking to you about the vital work we’re doing to support our training efforts in Afghanistan.
The Medical Mentor shall train, advise and assist their counterpart regarding medicals courses, assist SPTW Cadre students to perform and maintain proficiency in all their major duties.
The Mentor ensures detachment medical preparation and maintains medical equipment and supplies, provides examination and trains, advises, assists and mentors detachment members with POI development efforts for any medical related courses at the SOF Specialty School based on tactical combat casualty care.
The mentor ensures all approved POIs are consolidated and translated from Dari to English prior to course commencement.
Qualifications:
Prior service Army 68W Healthcare specialist, Navy Hospital Corpsman, or Air Force Enlisted Medic, E-7 or above with ten or more years’ service.
Combat experience, preferably with 12 months experience in Afghanistan.
18D or Special Operations experience preferred but not required.
Applicants must be able to pass CENTCOM medical, dental and other CRC-related deployment requirements at an approved CRC. Applicants must be in possession of a current/active US tourist Passport.
If candidate is already deployed, he/she must supply appropriate documentation satisfying these requirements along with confirmation that he/she is in physical possession of government-issued PPE to demonstrate compliance with CENTCOM deployment requirements.
Desired Qualifications:
Former 18D preferred
Special Operations experience preferred.
