Rotation: 8:8 weeks
Job Role:
We are currently inviting applications from suitably qualified Doctors who have experience in emergency and flight medicine to support a UN peacekeeping mission in remote East Africa. Candidates must be fluent in English.
Successful candidates will be working within a team conducting aero emergency medical evacuations via helicopter. Duties may also include delivering first aid training, health and fitness initiatives, sexual health and smoking cessation programmes and risk assessments.
Experience / Qualifications :
Registered Doctor with current registration/license to practice
At least 5 years’ experience in either Anaesthetics, Emergency Medicine or Aero medicine
Aviation Medicine certificate/Flight medic experience
Certificates in English language skills
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Advanced Trauma certificates (ITLS, PHTLS, ATLS or equivalent)
Computer literate
High levels of health and fitness.
