Location: Mali
We are currently hiring for the role of Trauma Surgeon on a European Union Training Mission in Mali.
The following qualifications/certifications/experience is essential:
Graduated at State University with Europe Union recognized Degree, with at least 5years working experience in same field.
Operational and International Experience.
Team worker and ability to perform activities under stressful conditions.
Wide experience in work with different kind of diseases and patients; education/training in Service/Army/Other Government Departments Medical Corps and command experience is highly recommended
Preferably NATO nationals
Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is required.
Main duties for the role include the following
Evaluating a trauma victim, institutes immediate therapy, helps with operative management, follows the patient through critical care and surgical recovery and handles outpatient care;
Collating, analysing and updating patient records to ensure they are offered the best treatment and care;
Discussing treatment methods with patients to make sure they are okay to go ahead with treatment;
Performing emergency operations under stressful conditions, in which the correct decisions need to be made quickly;
Determines which instruments and method of surgery will be most successful in achieving desired outcome;
Possess superior skills in the care of acutely injured and critically ill surgical patients along with the ability to function collaboratively in a team environment;
Being on call and available 24/7 for medical emergencies
