Supervisor, Medical Operations

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Medical Operations Supervisor. The Medical Operations Supervisor will serve as a shore-side administrator for fleet matters to include, but not be limited to oversight of medical equipment, drugs and supplies, and coordination of accurate and timely administrative support.
Strategically evaluate onboard equipment inventories and assist with the development of end-of-life replacement plans.
Ensure shipboard staff receives proper troubleshooting assistance and/or repair medical equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
Oversee equipment preventative maintenance program.
Maintain a well-organized tracking system, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and cost effectiveness.
Organize and procure start-up clinical equipment, supplies and drugs for new ships.
Responsible for special projects such as medical center modifications.
Available to address after-hour emergency phone calls, in relation to medical equipment and consumables.
Ensure that new company policies are communicated and implemented.
Communicate and ensure appropriate measures are taken regarding manufacturer notices for medical equipment and consumables (drugs and supplies.)
Review large medical orders, while monitoring assigned inventory stock levels.
Provide support for urgent onboard emergency orders, deliveries, and recalls.
Oversee the ordering, approvals, and secure storage of onboard controlled medications.
Ensure associated regulatory requirements are followed.
Maintain an accurate and well-organized inventory of shipboard consumables (drugs and supplies.) Collaborate with Supply Chain and Fleet Finance departments to add/remove items in both inventory and point of sale systems.



Qualifications:
Bachelors in Nursing
HealthCare Certificate
3 or plus years of experience in medical equipment procurement and maintenance, and facility planning. Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, while prioritizing workloads.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to supervise various medical teams.
This position requires the availability to address 24-hour emergency phone calls.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Experience with electronic medical records platform(s.)
Cruise industry medical operations experience preferred.
