Previous experience in first aid and/or paramedics highly preferable
We are looking for a first aid delegate based in Baghdad, Iraq.
The First Aid Delegate is responsible for the implementation and quality assurance of supported projects in Central and South Iraq and to follow-up up on the results’ achievement and reporting. This includes specifically the ECHO funded activities in his/her area of operation as well as the technical support for all FA activities in Iraq.
Main responsibilities
Ensure the continuation and quality implementation of the capacity development of Basic First Aid (BFA) in line with the American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines and the Global First Aid Reference Centre (GFARC) curriculum;
Ensure the continuation and monitor the quality of BFA activities implementation;
Ensure the proper implementation and regular follow up on the emergency ambulance service activity in close cooperation with Health department
Follow up on the implementation of WaSH activities through Watsan department .
Follow-up on the implementation of relief activities with relevant departments
Prepare timely activity reports along with the relevant Idepartments
Assist in the preparation of timely financial reports and reconciliations along with finance department
Attend different meetings with partners as coordinated with the country manager
Qualifications and Requirements
Relevant higher education in health-related field;
Previous experience in first aid and/or paramedics highly preferable. 3-5 years experience in first aid and paramedics without health background can be accepted
Minimum 2 years experience in project management including implementing and coordinating health activities in emergency settings in camps, urban and rural settings.
Experience in developing and delivering trainings to develop staff and volunteer capacity.
Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and establish harmonious and effective working relationships, both within and outside the organization.
Good financial management and IT skills
Previous experience is a strong asset
Arabic language is mandatory
