Job Summary
Responds immediately to emergency calls; provides medical support and care for patients in the pre-hospital environment. Assesses emergency medical calls to identify patient needs and requirements and to determine best course of action. Provides advanced medical care and basic life support service to patients, using appropriate medical equipment, devices and treatment modalities. Communicates with receiving facility to get medical direction and to provide patients status and other critical information. Assists with patient care in the receiving facility; lifting and moving patients as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eligible to obtain a ND and MN paramedic license within 30 days of hiring along with national registry status at the Paramedic level.
Must have a thorough knowledge of paramedic principles, practices and techniques, knowledge of how various equipment such as a monitor or defibrillator work and how to troubleshoot problems that may arise. Candidates should have a good driving record and excellent EMS skills.
