Reg. Nurse / CPO

We are currently looking for a talented registered nurse/CPO to join our Close Protection team in Somalia.

The work as Reg. Nurse is stimulating with great opportunities for personal development. In the field, or out on missions, you will most commonly be the only nurse which means that you must have the confident to work autonomously and possess the ability to work in the entire spectrum of healthcare. You receive support from HQ in Sweden, where the Senior Medical Officer (SMO) and Senior Nurse (SN) are placed.

- Qualified healthcare resource in all operational activities
- Work in smaller and larger units and be the first legitimized healthcare level
- Emergency care
- Daily care
- Handling Drugs
- Responsibility for maintenance and inventory of all medical equipment
- Educate your own staff and clients in emergency care

- Cooperate with external healthcare facilities, care providers, such as other organizations, authorities, hospitals and ambulance resources
- With the support from HQ, establish and update medical documents such as standard operating procedures (SOP) and medical planning before missions

Close Protection Officer:
As Close Protection Officer (CPO)  you will be responsible for risk management, security planning as well as management and implementation of all security related activities within your assigned project. On daily basis this could mean assessing and minimising risks, planning routes, checking vehicles, venues and grounds, keeping watch and being alert to danger as well as dealing with conflict.

You will be working in a team environment where you are expected to display excellent interpersonal skills where personal integrity is all-important, and you will place the very highest importance on safety for your clients, for your colleagues and for yourself. Providing exceptional customer service is also key to success and you know how to interact with people from various backgrounds and always hold high ethical standards.


Requirements:
Swedish citizenship
Nurse (Swedish licence to practise)
Minimum of two (2) years work experience in medical position
Minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience from military and/or law enforcement
SIA license or equivalent
Clean criminal background check
Valid psychology screening and suitability test to carry weapons in duty
Fluency in written and spoken English


Desirables:
Postgrade diploma in specialist nursing with specialization in Pre-hospital emergency care/Emergency Care/Anesthesia/Intensive care
Experience from medical position from international environment
Experience from medical position from the armed forces
Tactical Combat Casualty Care
Prehospital Trauma Life Support
Battlefield Advanced Resuscitation Techniques and Skills
Instructor in CPR training
