Overview
Aspen Clinic Paramedic represents Aspen Medical International as a front-line medical provider at an Aspen medical facility, through the deployment of Ambulance and other emergency response services, in support of Medical Evacuation and at client locations as required. The Clinic Paramedic will also assist the Practice Manager in the day-to-day management and running of the facility. Primary responsibilities include; providing paramedic services, supervising local personnel within the medical team, developing and delivering training for staff, providing operational support as required and directed by the Practice Manager.

Responsibilities


Responsible for the provision of paramedic medical support as directed by the Lead Clinician, to include but not limited to: Out-patient services at the clinic, Ambulance and Aeromedical Evacuation (AME) services, In-patient care management. To assist in the general day-to-day operations of the Aspen Clinic as required. To ensure operational readiness of paramedic and AME equipment, including personal equipment and vehicles. Develop and deliver training packages for Aspen staff in-country To be available for on-call requirements. To comply with all Aspen specific clinical protocols and SOPs and to assist in their development. Ensure compliance with all aspects of client contracts, to act as that client’s primary interface for paramedic provision services and to attend all scheduled client meeting as required. Provide facility management support to the Practice Manager as required. Assist in the development and pursuit of Business Development opportunities in coordination with the Business Development Manager. Assist in the development of the weekly report and any other Reports and Returns as required.

Qualifications


In-date US/SA/AU/UK or equivalent Paramedic qualifications. Minimum of 5 years experience in the paramedic role. Preferred minimum 2 years experience in Africa and/or the private sector.
