MAIN RESPONSABILITIES OF THE EXPATRIATE

Under the responsibility of the Victim Assistance Project Manager-Mosul, the trauma physiotherapist will be responsible for delivering quality trauma care to the people injured through direct service, quality assurance and on the job training of the national physiotherapists working in the hospitals or in other locations in the areas of interventions.

Base:

Erbil, with regular travel to other areas of intervention. Area of Intervention: Ninewa governorate (Mosul and Hamdaniya district), Erbil governorate (Makhmur district). Line management: Victim Assistance Project Manager-Mosul Collaboration with: Rehabilitation Technical Advisor, Rehabilitation Technical Coordinator, Technical Unit Coordinator, Technical Officers, Humanitarian Operations Coordinator and Technical Resources at HQ.

PROFILE

Education/training
Degree diploma in Physiotherapy

Experience
At least 2 years of experience in trauma management
Experience as a trainer of adults in field of expertise
Previous experience in physiotherapy of persons with injuries in conflict situations (experience of war wounded care management mandatory) within INGOs
Experience in the region (especially working within a similar healthcare and educational system) would be a strong asset

Strong organisational skills
Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills
Ability to work under high pressure
Sense of humour
English mandatory (oral and written), Arabic would be a strong asset

SALARY
Status: salaried contract with salary according to experience + per diem (507€/ month, paid in the field)+ hardship allowance (Erbil: 250 €)
Start:1st December 2016
Duration: 3 months
Living conditions: guesthouse shared with other expatriates (no charges)
Security conditions: low level of insecurity in Erbil, intermediate level of insecurity in the response area
Social insurance: 100% covered
