Olive Group Recruitment Services is seeking candidates for applications to be made for the following position:

Position Summary

Responds to emergency care and rescue involving potential loss of life or bodily injury; maintains control, manages and directs or assists with patient care at the scene of a pre-hospital emergency. Applies advanced emergency medical care to training standard and scope of practice. Performs other basic emergency medical procedures and day-to-day protective security functions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced emergency medical care to Contractor personnel, COM personnel, and others at the direction of DS/RSO, including invasive and pharmacological interventions within the Contractor’s Scope of Practice and in alignment with the Health & Care Professions Council Scope of Practice.
• Perform day-to-day personal protective security functions.
• Drive the lead vehicle, follow-vehicle, and/or acting as response agent whenever required in motorcade or similar operations.
• Maintains assigned protective formation position during principal’s walking movements.
• Participates in advance security preparations.
• Man security posts, command post, or other static post as required.

Qualifications:

Qualified Candidates must:

• Be Non-U.S. citizens
• Possess ability to draft detailed and accurate medical reports
• Possess experience in operating in a demanding high risk environment
• Demonstrate a high level of initiative and accuracy in high pressure situations
• Show a balanced and a calm demeanour in the event of a hostile action occurring
• Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) Paramedic, Registered Nurse, Doctor or HSE Offshore Medic (or overseas equivalent)
• Valid Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Minimum of 5 years’ service in a regular Armed Force
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a Medic (Combat Medical Technician 1/Ambulance Technician) or in an active ambulance care or medical emergency room
• Satisfactory completion of a formal Close Protection training course conducted by an SIA-approved training organisation (or other national equivalent)
• Previous operational experience relevant to the region
• Previous operational experience in a high threat environment
• Previous operational experience in the Client’s sector (e.g. Oil & Gas) is preferred
• Have passed criminal record check within 6 months prior to deployment

Personal Fitness:

• Completion of a Medical (self) Declaration and Medical Examination is required. If you have any current or pre-existing medical conditions you will find that personal accident insurers may refuse coverage or reject claims under the Personal Accident or Emergency Repatriation policies.

• Service with Olive Group involves demanding work in high temperatures and remote locations and will include wearing of Personal Protection Equipment and some heavy lifting which may include the lifting and carriage of an injured colleague. Running and rapid physical motion may be required for personal safety. Personnel will be required to use a weapon, and to hear and respond to verbal instructions and at times may be exposed to loud noises. Equipment typically carried all day every day amounts to approximately 16kg.
