Centerra is seeking Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) to work at our Northern Las Vegas, Nevada area location.

Responsibilities:
Level Specific Responsibilities:
1. Ensures all safety and environmental guidelines are followed without deviation.
2. Responsible for ordering first aid and medical supplies and equipment.
3. Assures the smooth function of the AEMT shift to which assigned.
4. Handles daily quality assurance activities assuring charting and files meet standards.
5. Maintains continuity with the AEMTs on other shifts with and through the Supervisor/Trainer including maintaining journals and/or logs to aid continuity.
6. Possesses strong organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate and prioritize projects.
7. Must have the ability to adapt to changes as they occur.
8. Must have good conflict resolution skills.

Primary Responsibilities:
1. Administers first aid, medical and emergency care for injuries and illnesses in accordance with recognized medical standards and contractual regulations.
2. Notifies the Medical Manager of the need for first aid and medical supplies and equipment.
3. Maintains all records of employee injuries, illnesses and treatment administered as required by the company, client, state and federal regulations.
4. Participates in and documents periodic health and sanitation activities and inspections.
5. May document and handle Workers’ Compensation cases.
6. May assist with simple lab tests.
7. Provides initial injury care to workers injured or ill on the job.
8. Performs all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees.
9. Performs all work in compliance with environmental permits and regulations.
10. Reports to the physician(s) or physician assistant (PA) serving as the medical response team (MRT) leader (MRTL) during Chemical Accident/Incident Response Activities (CAIRA).
11. Participates and certifies where required in the training mandated for the MRT members as part of the governing regulations.
12. Performs testing including but not limited to: vision testing and substance abuse testing.
13. Provides pre-hospital advanced life support level response to injury and illness at the project.
14. Participates in preventive medicine (P) programs designed to increase the health and well-being of the work force, protects the work force from disease and injury, and other programs as designated by the Medical Director to include the Blood Borne Pathogen Program, Hepatitis B Vaccination Tracking, and Drug/Alcohol Testing Program.
15. Acts as an authorized collection person for Drug & Alcohol testing.
16. Obtains and maintains certification in the mandatory training for which certification is available.
17. Becomes and remains current in all training supporting the chemical surety program for the duration of the project.
18. Provides training to the project wherever the capability meets the needs.
19. Supports the quality assurance program by maintaining good records, both medical and administrative.
20. Adheres to quality assurance protocols to ensure absolute compliance with regulations governing records, including thorough and accurate documentation; timely completion; review of records before return to the stacks, and assistance with peer record review.
21. May be called to work overtime or odd hours.

Qualifications:
1. EDUCATION
• AEMT Trained and Certified.
• Current license/certification in the state (NV) required. Proof of all credentials/certifications must be submitted as a condition of employment.

2. EXPERIENCE
• 2 years of experience as AEMT is required. A background in occupational health is preferred.
• Experience with drug/alcohol testing program procedures is preferred.
• Must have computer skills
• Must be capable of Field Response.
• Must be able to operate motor vehicle and/or small ATV/Gator
