About You
As a Paramedic, you should have a minimum of a Diploma or Degree in Paramedical Science and strong experience in the Emergency Management Field. Ideally you will come from a public emergency service or have mining industry experience.
To be a successful candidate the following mandatory qualifications, certifications and competencies are required:
Degree in Paramedical Science or Ambulance Service Diploma or equivalent
2+ years' experience within a paramedic emergency response role or equivalent
A current Australia driver's license is required. A demerit point check will be undertaken.
Permanent working rights in Australia
Proactive and customer orientated approach to service delivery
Ability to effectively engage with management and site personnel
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Demonstrated communication skills both verbal and written
The below qualifications or competencies are desirable:
RII30709 Certificate III Mine Emergency Response and Rescue
TAE40110 Certificate IV Training and Assessment
Operate Breathing Apparatus
Vehicle Extrication
Rope Rescue
Fire Fighting
If you don't have the above qualifications SDS can assist you in obtaining these courses.
Please note - a full medical; physical fitness and clinical verification of competency will be undertaken before employment. Regular and random drug testing will be undertaken during the course of employment. You will also be required to undertake SDS Continuous Professional Development Program.

Rotational rosters (6-7 days on / off, 12 hour day / night shifts).
