Safety Fire Tech and Paramedic Essential Skills - (candidates will not be considered without the following skills)
Minimum of 4 years experience within HSE
Certified Industrial Firefighter with minimum of 2 years high angle rescue experience
Louisiana Paramedic/National Registry - valid license or willing to re-certify
Must have experience conducting stand up training and be confident preparing and delivering classes to peers
Safety Fire Tech and Paramedic Job duties
Conduct multiple classroom and hands on live fire, Lead Alky Operations quarterly Level A suit training.
First Aid, AED, and CPR training Drills
Conduct SERT, Rescue, Oil Spill, "What If" Drills with Shift IC
Conduct building and unit evacuation drills Emergency Response
Maintain Emergency Response Pre Plans (process fire, tank fire, confined space / high angle rescue)
Manage fire water usage permits, fire water outages, fire protection system outages and establish contingency plan
If Fire Chief is absent, fulfil the roll of the Fire Chief
Provide off shift medical care coverage under the direction of the MPC medical department within the scope of practice of a Paramedic
Inspections of equipment and maintenance (firehouse) and manage AED program
This position based in Garyville, LA working a 12 hour shift rotation. Shift pattern (week 1: 3 days on and week 2: 4 days on)
Salary - $60 - 65k per year + benefits + relocation allowance (must live more than 2 hours away from location) + overtime
