The total salary package for this position is £33,868 - £37,012 per annum* including basic salary, cost of living allowance and hardship allowance.

About the role:

You will be responsible for providing training, support and capacity building to locally recruited medics and mine action teams to ensure the highest possible quality emergency medical support is available. With oversight and responsibility for our medical SOPs, equipment and the overall quality of medical support in the programme, this is a great opportunity to use your extensive medical knowledge to support an organisation working hard to improve the lives of communities in a very challenging environment.

About you:

The successful candidate will need to be a qualified medical doctor or senior paramedic with advanced skills in trauma life support, including experience outside a hospital setting particularly within isolated environments with limited means of support. You will need experience of pre-hospital treatment of accident victims including providing first aid in remote and isolated locations. The successful candidate will need to have fluent English language skills to be able to work in this role, with Arabic language skills desirable.

You should be aware that MAG’s areas of operations are often remote with basic amenities and can be in tough working environment with field deployments lasting up to 3 months at a time. You therefore will need to be able to live and work in challenging environments, where your skills and MAG’s work is needed most.
