Health Safety & Environmental Field Coordinator

Location: USA Saint Clairsville, OH



This position is for our Northeast region. Rigs are located in several states and candidates must be willing to travel to any/all locations. If candidates are more than 60 miles from St. Clairsville, Ohio, candidates must also be willing to relocate at their own expense.

Reporting directly to the HSE Director, the HSE Field Coordinator will implement the organization’s health, safety and environment (HSE) department and safety initiatives and programs in the field. They will implement programs and procedures relating to organizational development and change strategy, employee HSE relations to promote a sustainable safety culture and safe work practices. Partners with the HSE Director to formulate business strategies associated with delivery of HSE programs and organizational effectiveness initiatives. The HSE Field Coordinator will work closely with the HSE Director and Operations Managers to identify and execute the best solutions to maintain a safe working environment. Self-motivation and organizational skills with attention to detail is critical to the success of this position.

Experience/Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years Oil and Gas HSE experience
Willingness to maintain the highest confidentiality of company and employee information.
Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, EPA, API, and ANSI standards and recommended practices.
Knowledge of Federal and State laws, local ordinances, and any other rules and regulations governing the public and our own employee’s health and safety.
Working knowledge of Federal DOT standards and how they apply to the oil and gas industry.
Ability to identify regulations as they apply to real time situations and effectively make the right decision with little or no management guidance.
Experience performing Incident Investigations and Root Cause Analysis.
Ability to lead training courses with a good degree of comfort
Experience with technical writing (operating procedures, policies, incident, and investigation reports).
Excellent computer skills and knowledge of MS Office and other function-specific software.
Must be forward-thinking, have high ethical standards, an appropriate professional image, and the ability to build trust.
Should have sound knowledge, analytical ability, good judgment, and strong “big-picture” strategic focus while simultaneously maintaining an operational, implementation and detail oriented perspective.

Education:
Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
Bachelor’s degree in an HSE or related field is preferred, but not required.
HSE or Oil and Gas safety related professional development certificate programs preferred, but not required.
Current OSHA 501/503 preferred
Current PEC SafeLand Instructor preferred
Current Medic First Aid Instructor preferred
Certified Hydrogen Sulfide Instructor preferred

Work Environment:
Splits time between office, shop, and field locations.
Candidate must be willing to work either day or night shifts
