The Role:
The flight paramedic would provide lifesaving emergent care in a variety of locations throughout West Africa. A successful candidate would be willing to provide expert care as part of a multi-disciplinary team in rotor-wing and clinic settings. Candidates should have a willingness to operate independently in remote or austere environments with limited external support services and have the ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances. This role would be a great fit for candidates seeking adventurous rotations throughout the world.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
Certified paramedic, combat medic or home country equivalent
5+ years of overall experience as a paramedic with 2+ years experience as a flight paramedic
Fluent command of the English and French languages
Documented experience and training with Night Vision Goggles (NVG)
Ability to obtain and maintain a Fit for Duty. Assignments may be subject to weight restrictions.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or similar certification
Preferred Qualifications:
Helicopter underwater egress training (HUET)
Flight paramedic certification (FPC)
Critical care paramedic certification (CCP)
Rapid Sequence Intubation (RSI) training
