To meet the increased demand for training services, Cubic is growing its team of qualified paramedics and nurses for military training in the Sydney area.

About the Opportunities

Cubic is seeking appropriately qualified Paramedics / Medical Instructors to assist with medical training (once or twice per month) in Randwick.  The successful candidates will be teaching a combination of Basic Life Support First Aid and Combat related medical interventions (Care Battlefield Casualty-CBC).  The training will generally be on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday with one or two activities scheduled per month.  Generally 5-6 paid hours per task.  In order to ascertain staff availability, the successful applicants will be offered up to 4 weeks notice prior to being rostered to any given shift.


This work may suit shift or casual workers who are seeking additional income and enjoy instructional positions.

Training objectives and lesson content will be provided by Defence; however, the learning objectives, delivery and student numbers may vary from task to task.    All lesson equipment will be provided.

The People

Candidates must possess a minimum requirement of at least one of the following qualifications to be eligible for the position:

  • Diploma of Clinical Paramedic Practice; or
  • Bachelor of Nursing



The successful candidates will possess the following skills:

Qualified paramedic, Registered ED or ICU nurse or Military Medic with practical experience in emergency trauma care
Must have instructional/training experience
Be capable of instructing non-medical personnel
Be able to work alongside other medical personnel and take direction in a team orientated environment
Be able to adapt to varied lesson delivery expectations of the customer in a timely and professional manner
Previous military medical experience desirable
Provide own transport to and from place of work
