About Us
MSS Strategic Medical and Rescue is the multidisciplinary industrial medical, fire rescue and security division of MSS Security group of companies, and a provider of premium services to the mining sector across the Bowen Basin, Queensland.
We are currently seeking qualified Full Time and Casual Paramedics looking for a rewarding career opportunity. These positions offer an immediate start for suitable candidates.
About You
As a Paramedic Emergency Service Officer you are part of the emergency response team and be the first response to all mine site emergency incidents, while supporting site medical, training and HSE activities.
To be a successful candidate, you must hold the following:
Diploma or Degree in Paramedical Science (ambulance) or equivalent
2 + years' experience within an advanced care paramedical role or equivalent
Paramedics Australasia Membership
Computer literacy in Microsoft Office suite
The below qualifications are DESIRABLE not mandatory for making application:
Current Coal Mine Workers Health Scheme Assessment (Coal Board Medical – Rescue)
Provide up to date immunisations for Tetanus and Hepatitis A&B
BMA Core Induction or Mining Generic Standard 11 (Qld generic mining induction)
Drug & Alcohol Testing Certification (National Accredited Training)
Qld Mining Supervisor S1, S2, S3
Rehabilitation & Return to Work Coordinator
Current Functional Capacity Evaluation
RII30709 Certificate III Mines Emergency Response & Rescue
Current Australian Security Licence or Certificate II in Security Operations
TAE Cert IV Trainer Assessor
Location and Remuneration
MSS are offering DIDO and FIFO employment options on equal time, rotational rosters (6-7 days on / off, 12 hour day / night shifts)
