Offshore Emergency Doctors

Job Role:
Wel are currently inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced Accident and Emergency Doctors to provide medical and welfare support to crews on board seismic exploration vessels operating offshore worldwide. Applicants must have received training and gained clinical exposure to RSI techniques within the last 12 months, as well as FAST Ultrasound skills to provide medical and welfare support at offshore projects worldwide.

Working on a rotational basis doctors provide primary and emergency healthcare to all personnel on board. Duties may include First Aid training and promotion of lifestyle issues including fitness, alcohol awareness and healthy eating. The successful candidate will also be responsible for health and hygiene inspections and advising on other safety issues, clinic management, general administration and computer based reporting.


Minimum of five years' post medical qualification work experience; preferable but not mandatory to include remote site and/or pre-hospital experience
Current medical registration
FAST Ultrasound experience
RSI experience
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification or equivalent
Advanced Trauma management (ATLS) certification or equivalent
OPIO approved BOSIET offshore safety and survival training, including HUET and EBS
Good levels of health and fitness
Computer literate
Occupation Health experience preferred but not mandatory.
