Position Summary
Purpose of the job Attend to emergency ambulance call outs and perform medical examinations as well as recording
and keeping confidential employee information. Do inspections, testing and refurbishment of all emergency response equipment according to the required standards.

Required outputs: Functional
• Turnout to emergencies and form part of incident tactical team;
• Inspection, testing and refurbishment of emergency response equipment and ambulance;
• Cleans work area and the vehicles on a daily basis;
• Be able to report on emergency cases handled;
• Maintain physical fitness.
Job Requirements
• Matric/Grade 12
• Ambulance Emergency Assistant “AEA”
• Enrolled with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
• Valid Code 10 (EB) drivers Licence
• Two years’ experience in an Industrial Occupational Health and Safety department or Emergency Management Department.
• 5 years’ experience as a paramedic.
• Experience in ambulance emergency equipment maintenance.
• Ability to apply excellent driving skills
• Performance of Ambulance emergency tasks according to the HPCSA’s Intermediate Life Support (ILS) protocols, Ambulance Emergency Assistant (AEA)
• Computer literate
