Operational Medical Director , OCONUS

Location: OCONUS  (Outside the Continental United States)
Job summary:
Vighter Medical Group is seeking an Operational Medical Director for an upcoming contract assignment

***Position contingent upon contract award***
Principle Accountabilities:
Develops, designs, implements, oversees, and sustains a program of medical direction for Emergency Medical Technicians at the Basic, AEMT, and Paramedic level, in accordance with relevant legal and
regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Develops, designs, and implements a system of quality assurance and skill competency for those technicians under his medical direction.
Develops and maintains a set of clinical protocols followed by the technicians under his medical direction that conform to the relevant scope of practice as defined by the National Emergency Medical Services Scope of Practice.
Develops, designs, implements, and sustains a system of continuing medical education that meets required recertification requirements, is responsive to identified quality assurance issues, and maintains the cognitive knowledge base necessary to perform to protocol and industry standard.


Reports to: Program Manager

Knowledge & Skills:
Emergency Medicine Services
Emergency Medicine
Program Management
Medical Protocol Development and Implementation
Experience & Education:

Current American Board of Emergency Medicine in Emergency Medicine and sub-specialty ABEM certification or eligibility in Emergency Medical Services.
Must possess current state medical licensure.


Other Requirements:

Obtain and maintain a personnel security clearance/public trust certification as identified in the task order.
Must be a U.S. citizen
Level three (3) English language proficiency
Must be 21 years of age
Must possess a state issued valid driver’s license within the United States
Must possess a valid passport
Must have honorable discharge in case of military service
Must submit to and receive a negative result on drug and steroid testing


Travel:

Possess no impediments to traveling overseas to and within countries that are considered dangerous or unhealthy in general, or to the country or countries assigned in the applicable task order in specific
